Blogfail

Yeah, yeah I know it's been more than a month. But not much has happened, to be quite honest. It's been quite an underwhelming summer. I've mostly been working. I have gotten to catch up with a lot of friends that I hadn't seen in forever, so that's been nice. I'm just really ready to get back to Provo, though.

I have seen quite a lot of movies, though! (Being an ex-employee does have its perks :) Here's a quick review of the ones I've seen lately:
  • Knight & Day: Not bad for a Tom Cruise / Cameron Diaz flick. Had a little twist at the end I didn't suspect. Still, felt like I had seen parts of this movie before. Is it like an unwritten rule that every action flick has to have a long, drawn out car chase scene? C
  • Toy Story 3: Pretty much a flawless movie. I laughed, I cried (not even kidding), and really felt for those darn toys. This was such a bittersweet movie because it's made me realize how much I've grown up. Andy = me. A+
  • Despicable Me: Exceeded my expectations. I wouldn't recommend seeing it right after Toy Story, because it's not quite at that level, but this really is a cute and funny animated flick about a baddie that's secretly a goodie. The minions and that little girl are just too darn adorable. IT'S SO FLUFFY I'M GONNA DIE! ahahaha. B+
  • Shrek 4: Eh. This wasn't a necessary sequel, IMO. Shrek gets up to the same old antics. And will his freakin selfishness ever stop?! C
  • Eclipse: I liked the action. I liked Taylor Lautner (yes, you are hotter than RPatz, no worries). Some of the lines were pretty funny, and the flashback scenes were pretty good. Oh, and Riley. He was attractive. Other than that, it still contained the same pointless melodrama, Kristen Stewart's bad acting (aka breathing/blinking), RPatz's constipated facial expressions, and stupid plot devices as the other two movies. Can't wait for the cesarean-by-teeth in the next film though. Should be pretty epically ridiculous. C+
That's all the movies I've seen so far. I'm seeing Inception tomorrow, though. Cannot wait. Love love love Chris Nolan and Leo DiCaprio :) (P.S. see Shutter Island if you haven't already. Great movie)

Call me.
